The continuous expansion of the health care industry brings with it a growing demand for trained paramedical professionals. In order to cater to this demand to whatever extent possible, Muthoot College of Allied Health Sciences, Kozhencherry entered the field of paramedical education with the introduction of Degree course such as B. Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology and Diploma courses like Diploma in Dialysis Technology, Diploma in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Technology etc. These courses are being run under the aegis of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) Thrissur, Directorate of Medical Education (DME-Govt. of Kerala) and CMAI which provides quality education in and the latest know how of paramedical and allied subjects.
The courses are offered through regular mode of teaching and supplemented by an intensive and rigorous practical training that equips the students with knowledge of the latest techniques and trends so that on completion they can emerge as fully trained and confident professionals.

Allied Sciences include clinical and admin health care professions distinct from medicine, dentistry and nursing- Globally, allied health professionals constitute 66% of the total health care personnel. Their mandate is to provide the healthcare system functions with a wide range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care and support services that are critical to the other health professionals they work with and the patients they serve. Some allied healthcare professions require no special training; on the job training would suffice. Many allied healthcare jobs are career ladder jobs and offer opportunities for further advancement in the field. It is gratifying to note that our College of Allied Health Sciences has been able to offer courses that provide the theory, science, humanities and behavioural sciences, necessary for the full scope of professional paramedical responsibilities, and provides the knowledge base necessary for advanced education specialized clinical practice.
The main focus of our Institution is to provide high quality education to our students and mould them to face the challenges of the highly competitive global market.
